Part of the Alonissos Marine Park, the Peristera Shipwreck is considered to be the largest ship of its time to have been found, crucially important for the history of marine commerce. As of 1992, this famous site has been declared a marine protected area in Europe, forming one of the two national underwater museums. Around 4000 amphora, likely filled with wine back in the Classic Period (5th Century BC), now home to sea sponges and fish, are awaiting for visitors 30 meters underwater offering a magnificent experience. At points, you can even swim below the highest points of the ship wreck. In cooperation with Ikion Diving Center and Alonissos Seacolours, we offer you the opportunity to dive into ancient history and discover a fascinating seascape for divers. When you arrive, let us inform you about the pricing plans and current offers.
